World of Warcraft patch 8.3: Visions of N’Zoth gives us a reason to go back to Pandaria. The once beautiful and peaceful Vale of Eternal Blossoms has been corrupted by the Old God, but there is a silver lining: the Old God has brought five new mounts to the zone as well. This article will list the 8.3 Vale of Eternal Blossoms Mounts and explain how to get them.
Xinlao
Patch 8.3 brings us 2 recolors of the Quilen mount, with Qinsho’s Eternal Hound already being available from the start of the expansion via Island Expeditions. Xinlao is a green, brown and golden version and is a rare drop from the Rare Elite Anh-De the Loyal. Ahn-De the Loyal only spawns in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms during an Assault by the Warring Clans.

Ren’s Stalwart Hound
Ren’s Stalwart Hound is a blue and red version of the quilen mount model. This mount is a rare drop from the Rare Elite Houndlord Ren. Houndlorn Ren only spawns when the zone quest “Assault: The Warring Clans” is up. He wanders around on the Autumnshade Ridge.

Clutch of Ha-Li
The Clutch of Ha-Li is a dark blue bird mount that uses the same model as the Clutch of Ji-Kun, which drops from Ji-Kun in the Throne of Thunder. It is a rare drop from the Rare Elite Ha-Li, who only spawns during Mogu (Warring Clans) Assaults. Ha-Li’s spawn timer is between 30 minutes and an hour. She flies in circles around her spawn point. Ha-Li has quite a high health pool and hits pretty hard, so grouping up is advised.

Ivory Cloud Serpent
There are quite a few Cloud Serpent mounts in the game, but none is as stunning as the Ivory Cloud Serpent. This serpent, which is actually more pink than ivory, can be quite a challenge to obtain. First you will need a Zan-Tien Lasso which can drop from hostile Mogu in Vale of Eternal Blossoms. I got mine within about 30 minutes of farming in a group of 5 around the Guo-Lai Halls and the Ruins of Guo-Lai. I have heard reports of people farming for 3-4 hours without luck though, so don’t get your hopes up too much.
After acquiring the Zan-Tien Lasso, you will need to find the Ivory Cloud Serpent flying around the zone. The serpent spawns above the Zan-Tien camp, flies a full circle around the edge of the zone and then patrols between the Golden Stair and Mogu’Shan Palace. The Ivory Cloud Serpent spawns every 1 to 2 hours, but only when a Mogu Assault (Warring Clans Assault) is up in the zone. The serpent is friendly, and you must channel your Zan-Tien Lasso on it to capture it. The Ivory Cloud Serpent spawns quite high up in the air, a bit lower than the flying worms that reduce your flying speed. He immediately starts flying very fast, so spamming a macro while camping is advised.

This icy Cloud Serpent is sold by Zhang Ku, who stands in the Silent Sanctuary in Vale of Eternal Blossoms. He sells this mount for the price of 1 Pristine Cloud Serpent Scale. The Pristine Cloud Serpent Scale is a rare drop from the Rare Elite Rei Lun, which can be found underground in the Guo-Lai Halls. Rei Lun only spawns during a Warring Clans Assault. Rei Lun’s respawn timer is about 40 minutes.
